My 6th class really enjoyed the morning with Tony Kirby. The presentation covered all bases as far as the Burren is concerned. Tony brought his enthusiasm and knowledge to the classroom and the pupils followed up with many questions and comments of their own. Excellent slideshow and workshop activity. A very worthwhile and enjoyable visit.

I took a walk on the burren with my husband and two sons, aged 8 and 12 and a small group along with our guide Tony Kirby,whose intimate knowledge of the flora; fauna; geology; ecology and history interspersed with poetry and humour brought this magical landscape of ancient seabed to life. The evidence of fossils and life millions of years ago, and the juxtaposition of the orchid, alpine and artic flora could easily be missed but for Tony's guidance. To quote my 12 year old, " This was the best walk I have ever been on ". We'll be back and the sooner the better.
